Quality systems are becoming increasingly important in the national and international trade of agricultural commodities. In order to meet our customers’ current and future quality requirements, the ED&F Man Group has introduced DIN EN ISO 9001 as a company-wide foundation and supplemented it nationally and internationally with the GMP+ FSA quality system.
ED&F Man Deutschland GmbH has been certified according to ISO 9001 since December 2003 and according to GMP+ FSA since February 2004. In addition, the company holds GMP+ FRA Non-GMO certification, ensuring that all relevant feed products meet strict non-GMO requirements. For customers in the dairy sector, ED&F Man Deutschland GmbH also meets the requirements of QM-Milk.
The company is also certified according to EU Organic and Naturland standards – for both organic feed and organic fertilisers – thereby ensuring compliance with recognised international standards for organic production and processing.
Quality assurance is just as important as fully meeting all traceability requirements. ED&F Man Deutschland GmbH operates a comprehensive HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system for systematic quality control, including compliance with maximum residue limits and all legal requirements relating to feed hygiene.
The ED&F Man Group practices responsible sourcing and ensures that all purchasing activities comply with applicable environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards. This approach supports transparent, ethical and sustainable supply chains across all markets in which we operate.
Our ED&F Man Standards of Business Conduct ensure that all business operations and management practices meet the highest ethical standards and are carried out responsibly.
For the bioenergy sector, ED&F Man Deutschland GmbH holds ISCC EU certification for the trading of molasses and therefore meets the sustainability criteria required for renewable energy.
